As a kid, I liked to play video games. I could play for hours and hours on end. Often, I would become so absorbed in a game that I would forget to eat or go to sleep.
As I grew older video games gained a new function. They provided visual stimulation while I listened to music. For me, music are video games are mediums in which I can become so absorbed that I temporarily escape the real world. However, this escape requires the sacrifice of the awareness of my physical presence.
