Special Programs

At the University of Florida, your graduate education in architecture can reach beyond the bounds of its Gainesville campus. The UF Department of Architecture operates a number of off-campus programs both in the United States and abroad, where you can earn graduate credit toward your degree in physical and cultural environments that will broaden your horizons as an architect and a citizen of the world.

Preservation Institute: Caribbean (PIC)
engages in research and field work at different venues within the Caribbean zone, such as Florida, Barbados, Jamaica and Mexico.

Preservation Institute: Nantucket (PIN)
has operated as a center for education in historic research and architectural preservation on Nantucket Island since 1972.

Design Exploration Program (DEP)

Vicenza Institute of Architecture (VIA)
is based in Vicenza, Italy, a major center of the Veneto (the mainland region around the urban archipelago of Venice). The program focuses on evaluating and understanding the historical, social, cultural and physical aspects of this particularly rich urban context through research, documentation and design.
