Reflecting on my surreal experience in the movie theatre, I've come to see the the theatre as a place of transposition. One's body, one's presence is dissolved by theatre. The movies contribute to this transposition, but the building itself is capable of allowing one to ignore his body and escape into a world where everything is perfectly laid out for your enjoyment and all unwanted waste is automatically whisked away or hidden.

However, upon returning to the theatre to take pictures, I realized that all the waste and garbage was still there just beneath the skin. Transposition works not but elementating waste, but by allowing you to ignore it. By merely drawing attention to this waste, you can start to avoid transposition.
